Vertical Jump: How to Improve


ATTENTION!
This workout you must do only when you feeling yourself fresh. If you feeling tired then this workout may be dangerous for you. You need to be focus for this workout. Ps: The high jumping platform on video about 90-100 cm. If you are beginners we recommend to start with 40-60 cm high box. Get luck 🙂 Warm-up: Run 5-10 min Box jumps 5×3 reps (accent on eccentric phase) Box jump + tuck jump 6×1 rep Depth jump 6×1 rep Depth jump + tuck jump 6×1 rep One Leg Box Jump 5×1 rep on single leg Broad Jump + Box jump 5×1 rep Hanging knees to chest 3×15 reps Around the world 3x10reps REST: 30 sec between sets 2-3 minutes between exercises Be sure to do muscle stretching at the end of the workout

    Would like to have details that How many weeks to practice How many times per day? Meaning that in the video, the training details are not yet provided Should tell more details and how many centimeters before and after the jump height

    Warm-up
    1. Run 5-10 min
    2. Dynamic Stretching 10 min (00:48 – 03:10)
    Exercise:
    1. Box jumps 5×3 reps (accent on eccentric phase) (00:48)
    2. Box jump + tuck jump 6×1 rep (01:06)
    3. Depth jump 6×1 rep (01:21)
    4. Depth jump + tuck jump 6×1 rep (01:31)
    5. One Leg Box Jump 5×1 rep on single leg (01:47)
    6. Broad Jump + Box jump 5×1 rep (02:11)
    7. Hanging knees to chest 3×15 reps (02:28)
    8. Around the world 3x10reps (02:50)

    REST: 30 sec between sets 2-3 minutes between exercises

    Be sure to do muscle stretching at the end of the workout

    I'm 5'2" and I can spike the ball through men's net, not powerful, just enough to make a kill. Is that good or bad??

    You should put his spike touch height. It is hard to understand how high he jump because when he jump he bend his legs on the level of his knees or higher which always make his jump look higher than what really is. Not saying he doesnt jump high but just saying that its hard to measure his jump with this kind of form in the air.

    When you do a tuck jump you should have your knees to your chest at the apex, preferably "through" your chest so as to incite more height on your jump. Not necessarily an easy thing to do but something to strive for
