How to customize an infographic pitch deck [EASY TUTORIAL]

Hey folks Alice from Venngage here. Today
I’m gonna be doing a really quick video walkthrough to show you how to customize
one of our Venngage templates. As you can see it’s a really nice presentation
template that’s ideal for business pitches. It really shows up your
creativity it’s quite unique and modern, it would really paint you as a
forward-thinking company or consultant if you were to use this. Cool so let’s
just click create to get started. So you’ll see that this presentation was
opened in the editor, this is where we can make all the creative decisions,
customize the colors, and the information in the presentation. So the first thing
I’m going to do is I’m going to apply my brand colors and to do that I go over to
My Brand Kit in the left menu. You’ll see here that we’ve got My Brand Colors.
These are ones that I’ve already uploaded that reflect my brand. Cool if
we click on it we can see that the colors have been automatically applied
to the design. We can click the shuffle icon in the middle and it will
cycle through different combinations of the colors. Perfect. Cool so the next
thing I’m going to do is I’m going to change the text so that it reflects my
business name. Cool so I’m going to click on the text box I’m going to delete, and
I’m going to type the name of my business instead. Perfect. So one thing
that I would like to do is I would like to make the word ‘market’ in here bold, so
to do that we click again on the text box, we click and drag to highlight the
word and then in the top here we click on the bold. Great so the last thing I’m
going to do this page, so I’m going to change the icons. So we click on the icon,
go to delete at the top, and then in the left hand menu click on icons. Then
we search for the word that we want, scroll until you find something and once
you find the right icon click and hold drag and then drop it on top of your
presentation. And then if you want to change their color, so that’s when
we go to this drop at the top and we click on white. Excellent, so let’s
go to the next page. So the first thing I’m going to do is I’m going to put this
into my brand colors. So again we go to My Brand Kit at the top and My Brand Colors. Great! So I would like to change this black box, it doesn’t really work
for my brand, but we can see it when we click it it comes up with this red
rectangle around it and this red lock symbol at the top appears. This means
that this layer is locked, so we can’t accidentally move it to, to undo this all
we do is we click the lock and then we have control again. There we go. So I’m
gonna click on this and I’m gonna select the color orange. We can see here though
that the blue font doesn’t stand out against the background very well, so what
we’re gonna do is we’re gonna click to select, up to the drop at the top we’re
gonna change that to dark gray. I’ll do this quickly for those two. Cool,
next page. The first thing we’re going to do with
this is we’re gonna apply our brand colors. So you might have noticed that
I’m not any of these people. What I’m gonna do is I’m going to upload my own
headshot instead. So what we do is in the left hand bar you go to image uploads,
click upload an image, we search for our head shot, and we upload it. Cool so once
that’s uploaded we click on the image and we drag it across to our document. If
we drag it onto the circle it’ll automatically fill the circle, which we
call the image frame, with the head shot. So just let go to drop, great. So I’ll
show you that one more time so we drag over to the circle we drop
and then we can change the text. By clicking to select you can change it to
anything you want. There we go. So I’m pretty happy with this presentation now,
so what I’m going to do is we’re going to click publish and then when I click
share I’ve got this URL that I can share with other people. If I’ve got a business
or a premium account I also have the option to download it in various formats.
One thing that you might have noticed is when you move images or icons sometimes
these weird colored lines show up on the screen. All they are are alignment lines.
Align-ment lines. So if you click and you drag we can see this pink line here
means that the bottom of this icon is in line with the top of that image and if
we drag it down we can make it to the middle of this icon is in line with the
middle of the text. This is really good to keep our presentations looking neat
and professional. The other thing that I’ve talked about quite a lot is the My Brand Kit tool. Just really quickly going to show you how that works. So at the top if
you click My Brand you’ll be brought to this page which is the My Brand Kit
tool. You can upload a custom color palette and see it instantly applied to
all of your designs. Simply click the plus sign
and then you can either drag and pick a color or you can enter the hex code or a
RGB code. We can also upload our company logo and then when we go to create
designs these will all be handy in the My Brand Kit tool that we talked about.
So let’s have a look at our presentation. We can see that it’s all in our brand
colors, we’ve customized the icon, we’ve changed the text, and we’ve added some
head shots. You can use these principles to customize any of the templates on our
site and if you’ve got any questions ask our really helpful support staff. Drop us
a comment below if you found this video helpful and we’d love to see some of the
designs you’ve created. Don’t forget to subscribe to Venngage so you never miss a
video bye folk
